Tata Technologies, a unit of Tata Motors, has announced a 150 billion rupees ($1.80 billion) investment in the state of Telangana to establish government-affiliated skilling centers. This commitment follows the Adani Group’s $1.49 billion investment in the state the day before. Several states, including Telangana, have received substantial investment pledges from companies like Maruti Suzuki in recent business events such as the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit and the World Economic Forum.
Tata Technologies, a provider of engineering services to the automotive, aerospace, and heavy machinery industries, will invest in setting up skilling centers in 50 government-run industry training organizations. This initiative aligns with Tata Group’s broader commitment, including companies like Tata Consultancy Services and Tata Advanced Systems, to expand their presence in the state. Additionally, there are plans for Tata to announce the establishment of a semiconductor fabrication plant in the home state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gujarat.
